MASTERING AUDIO RATES
Our mastering audio rates are somewhere in the middle of the price spectrum– not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. At the core of our philosophy, quality results are what we are interested in achieving, and the cost for our time when it is available is reflected below.
MASTERING RATES AND INFORMATION
Please make sure that you receive and approve a free, no-obligation mastering sample first, because all mastering projects require pre-payment in the full amount before work is performed and final files delivered. You can send your song to us for a sample using WeTransfer at studio302mastering AT gmail.com.
MASTERING RATES:
All mastering services and revisions exceeding ½ hour for each song will be billed also at $45 per hour (if it takes longer than ½ hour to master a song, then what you need is a re-mix, not additional mastering).

The Indie Digital Mastering service utilizes a high-end, all-digital chain for the mastering process. While using digital tools, the core tasks in the mastering process are rooted in a well treated room, accurate wide-range monitors, quality D/A converters, and solid mastering techniques. The Indie Digital Mastering service provides a crisp, clean, dynamic and punchy master (with some tricks to add warmth) that surpasses whatever results most indie artists can attain by doing the mastering themselves; all at an indie-friendly price.

The Indie Gold Mastering service introduces (in addition to the high-end digital tools) some analog hardware into the mix to provide some additional “mojo” and size to the master. We route the audio through – when and where appropriate – combinations of different hardware units including the Crane Song HEDD-192, the Anamod ATS-1, and the Rupert Neve Designs Portico 5042. This adds a subtle tube/analog sound to the final master for some extra dimension and “warmth”.

The Indie Platinum Mastering service puts your master in the ballpark to compete head-to-head with major label releases, and utilizes a combination of high-end digital tools and top-of-the-line hardware. For this service we bring out the big guns, including the Crane Song HEDD-192, Manley Stereo Variable-Mu, Crane Song STC-8, API 2500 Stereo Buss Compressor, Crane Song IBIS, API 5500 Dual Equalizer, Avalon Design AS-2055, Millennia NSEQ-2, Inward Connections DEQ-1, and more.

NOTE: Please keep in mind that the Indie Gold Mastering and the Indie Platinum Mastering services are for full albums ONLY (10 songs or more), not singles. Singles can only utilize the Indie Digital Mastering service.
