MIXING AND MASTERING AUDIO RATES

Our mixing and mastering audio rates are somewhere in the middle of the price spectrum– not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. At the core of our philosophy, quality results are what we are interested in achieving, and the cost for our time when it is available is reflected below.

 
Please make sure that you receive and approve a free, no-obligation mastering sample first, because all mastering projects require pre-payment in the full amount before work is performed and final files delivered. Due to the nature of the process, we do not provide samples for mixing. There is no way to perform a sample mix without actually spending the time to do the mix itself. Your best bet is to just send us something you've mixed and have us perform a sample mastering so that you get a sense of the quality of the equipment.

MASTERING RATES:

All mastering services and revisions exceeding ½ hour for each song will be billed also at $45 per hour (if it takes longer than ½ hour to master a song, then what you need is a re-mix, not additional mastering). 

NEW MASTERING ROOM AND RATES FOR INDEPENDENT PROJECTS! Our discounted mastering rates for independent artists are as follows:

• $65 per song (6 minutes max in total running length)
• $750 per album up to 14 songs (6 minutes max in total running length per song)
• $825 per album up to 16 songs (6 minutes max in total running length per song)
• $45 per song for each additional 6 minutes of total running time after the first 6 minutes of each song

Our regular mastering rates are as follows:

• $85 per song (6 minutes total running length)
• $975 per album up to 16 songs (6 minutes total running length per song)
• $45 per song for each additional 6 minutes of total running time after the first 6 minutes of each song

 
Contact us for mastering projects with more than 16 songs or for songs with long running times (longer than 6 minutes).

Special rates are also available for mixing or mastering of other types of recordings, e.g. concerts, live shows, voiceovers, etc. Contact us for information on special rates.

MIXING RATES:

Mixing services do not include editing (cutting and pasting or comping vocals, cleaning up breaths, clicks, pops, etc., creating guitar solos, selecting ad-libs, etc.), sampling, recording or re-playing additional tracks, or sound replacement (replacing kicks, snares, etc), all of which you should take care of yourself prior to sending us your files.

All mixing services and revisions exceeding 4 hours for each song will be billed at $45 per hour.

NEW MIXING ROOM AND RATES FOR INDEPENDENT PROJECTS! Our discounted mixing rates for independent artists are as follows:

• Mixing per song = $150 / song (6 minutes total running time & 24 tracks total). 4 hours mixing time with up to 2 revisions. Additional time after initial 4 hours billed at $45 per hour.
• Mixing per album = $1,800 / album (up to 14 songs, 6 minutes total running time each and 24 tracks total each). 4 hours mixing time for each song with up to 2 revisions. Additional time after initial 4 hours billed at $45 per hour.

• Mixing per song = $250 / song (6 minutes total running time & 24 tracks total). 4 hours mixing time with up to 2 revisions. Additional time after initial 4 hours billed at $45 per hour.
• Mixing per album = $2,750 / album (up to 14 songs, 6 minutes total running time each and 24 tracks total). 4 hours mixing time for each song with up to 2 revisions. Additional time after initial 4 hours billed at $45 per hour.

Special mixing rates are available for albums with more than 14 songs, greater than 24 tracks, and songs longer than 6 minutes total running time. Email for more information.

MIX ENHANCER RATES:

Our mix enhancer rates are as follows:

• $45 per song (6 minutes total running time & 24 tracks maximum track count)
• $1 for each additional track after the first 24 tracks
• $35 for each additional 6 minutes total running time
