STUDIO 302 BOOKING PROCESS

Here’s how we can get started on your project:

Make sure you’ve read through the site to get a sense of what services we offer and what our prices are. Then:

  1. Contact us by email to let us know that you are interested in sending us a track for one of our services or for a mastering sample. Due to the nature of the process, we do not provide samples for mixing. There is no way to perform a sample mix without actually spending the time to do the mix itself. Your best bet is to just send us something you've mixed and have us perform a sample mastering so that you get a sense of the quality of the equipment. Please make sure that you receive and approve a free, no-obligation sample first, because all projects require pre-payment in full via PayPal before any further work is performed and all final files delivered.
  2. Read the section on ‘Preparing and Sending’ your files and follow the instructions to send your files to us for a sample either online or by mail (sending online is faster). A few notes in an email or a quick phone call telling us about your project and what you are expecting will help in the process.
  3. Once we complete the mastering sample (if applicable) and send your sample to you, please spend some time evaluating it and reading the notes we have made about what we’ve heard and what we’ve done. Feel free to call or email us for any clarification you might need. There might also be some recommendations regarding potential re-mixing issues or alternative ways you can deliver additional material. If you don’t like the sample, it is highly likely that you will not be satisfied with the final product; therefore do not proceed since any work performed from this point on will require full pre-payment.
  4. If you like the sample and are ready to proceed, make your payment and then prepare your files for submission. If sending by mail, include the Mastering Submission Form with your package. If submitting online, send your files first and then fill out and submit the online mastering form.
  5. Once we receive payment and all your files, we will speak with you about the process and go over what each song is trying to convey from an emotional and sonic standpoint. Due to the nature of the process, mixing requires considerably more consultation and communication than does mastering. Either way, we stay in communication with you as we work in order to achieve the best results possible. Sending files over the internet also allows you to listen to work in progress faster and more cheaply than by mail, and allows you to offer your feedback before signing off on the final master.
  6. Once you’ve approved and signed off on the final master, we arrange to send you the master via your preferred method. Most people will prefer a physical CD-R mailed to them. We are also able to send a DDP image of your master via FTP directly to the manufacturing company that will be replicating or duplicating your CD’s if necessary or applicable. If you will be selling your songs as downloads and don’t need a physical CD for manufacturing, we can send you the files online as well.
  7. At this point, you become another happy and satisfied client who is proud to play their music to their fans and friends.
